About The Site
The concept started by a father trying to reach his
sons. In the beginning, the content was a
word document that was on its way to Kinko's to become a book. While working in a Staffing Department, on a
special project, a very smart Vice President ask us to go to a local university
and pose the question, Who is this generation Y that we are trying to attract?
What we learned from the Generation Y report:
Generation Y grew up with many world-changing events including the rise of mass communication, the Internet, and the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Generation Y witnessed their parents being mistreated by employers. This generation took notes. Let's see, my Dad was canned / demoted after being so dedicated and loyal to the Company. Note to self.
As a result of 9/11 and the infidelity of employers, Generation Ys are very family oriented. They love their parents. They have a work ethic, but generally will always put family before work. They are loyal to family and not so loyal to employeers. 86% of Generation Y believes in God and 70% attend worship. If you want to communicate to a Generation Y send them an instant message, email, or text message. If they want to know something they will go to the internet and search for answers.
Bingo! I'll build a website for Ryan, Billy and Blake to consult when they are looking for direction. Yes, I prefer the one on one, but there will be a time when my Creator will still my heart. So I must leave these words somewhere for them and their future generations.
